Flora+ Fauna In A Tropical Rainforest

Plants:

They have so many different components that 1000 photos could be taken of the same flower/tree and the photos would never get old.  In this series of 5 photos the first 4 were taken in Singapore and the last one was taken in the south island of New Zealand.  The last photo was taken by a glacier, in a valley. That is why it is so foggy.  Please comment or critique below.

Color Splash

Color Splash:

Has added a whole new dimension to photography.  The 3 photos above were 3 of my first color splash+black and white photos.  Color splash works especially well if the color being "splashed" is a neon or bright color in comparison to the black and white.  An example of a bright color being splashed is the third photo on the girls swim suit.  Go ahead try it! You can't go to wrong with a color splash photo. Comment or critique below, its highly appreciated.

A Few Vivid Photos

Color:

Sometimes we take it for granted.  What if the next day all we saw was black and white. There would be no vivid photos or beautiful rainbows.  The 5 photos above were taken with the vivid setting on my camera activated.  With out the vivid setting these photos would have definitely not been as good as they are now.  I encourage everyone to give the vivid setting a shot once and a while, but not on a portrait because it will make you look orange!  Please comment and critique below.

Rain Drops On The Window

Rain:

It looks beautiful on leaves after a storm.  In these 3 photos were taken when I had just gotten my new camera.  In my opinion the rain enhances the photos, because it just ads another component to the photo, and to what was on the other side of the glass.  In all of the 3 photos what was on the other side of the glass was blurry, but that didn't stop you from recognizing what it was.  Please comment and critique below.

The Service Tree

Trees:

Trees are some of my favorite things to photograph. Because you cant really go to wrong on what angle you use.  This is kind of an emotional post for me, you may not understand why though. The summer camp that I go to for a month each summer always, every sunday holds "Sunday Services" under the tree pictured, and has since the camp started in 1959. Then this summer a tornado hit and the "service tree" fell.  It was estimated to be over 200 years old and was the largest tree in camp.  The camp directors mom Barbra always was in charge of the services. One day at a service she said that she could feel the energy of the entire camp when she stood under it. A lot of people thought she was nuts, but I agreed with her.  It was my favorite spot in camp, and home to 3 bald eagles. Please comment or critique below!

"At present, I am mainly observing the physical motion of mountains, water, trees and flowers. One is everywhere reminded of similar movements in the human body, of similar impulses of joy and suffering in plants." -Egon Schiele

The Life Guard Will Save Your Life

Life Guards:

Like them, hate them...can't live without them.  I go to a summer camp and theres so much stuff to photograph. But one of my favorite places to take photos there in on the water front.  This life guard chair, I think, would look very good in my room...if I had a high enough ceiling. So instead of taking it home with me. I just photograph it. In this series of photos I tried to photograph it at different angles.  The clouds in the sky, in these photos, I think just complete the scene. If those clouds had not been there it would have not been as good...in my opinion.  Comment or critique below, it would be highly appreciated.

"A Day In Some One Else's Shoes"

    Shoes:
They can tell so much about a person.  I love to photograph them, you will probably be seeing a picture once in awhile of a pair of shoes (on this blog).  Those three pictures of shoes would have to some of my favorites, that I have taken.  The last two photos shown are the same shoes in the first picture, just splatter painted.  One of the tools that I love to use on my Canon is the "color splash" feature.  Where it will be in black and white expect for the color that I have selected.  Please comment and critique in the comments below.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes."
